Al Raha Beach Abu Dhabi

Al Raha Beach Abu Dhabi

Al Raha Beach is set to become one of the greatest waterfront cities in the world. Along Abu Dhabi's sheltered coastline islands are shapped by inlets and canals, and crisscrossed by bridges. Eleven precincts will emerge within one waterfront development, each with its own distinct personality and appeal. Home to 120,000 residents enjoying picturesque views across the water, Al Raha Beach stretches over 11 km of dynamic living set off the main highway leading from Abu Dhabi to Dubai.

As the new gateway to Abu Dhabi, Al Raha Beach has been conceived by the finest specialist architects and contractors in the world, creating a community where transport, safety and quality of life will be integral to the design. Infrastructure has been designed to ease accessibility, combining several types of transport to satisfy a range of transit requirements, making Al Raha Beach one of the most innovative destinations in the world.

Within this master-planned mixed use development, nine hotels, five beaches, four marinas, parks, restaurants, and numerous leisure facilities will be harmoniously linked together by tree-lined boulevards and a network of canals, bridges and water transportation.

Some precincts will take the form of relaxed beachfront communities, others offer a vibrant cafè society lifestyle while some will be home to businesses looking for a unique setting.

Al Raha Beach will be home to ALDAR Properties' new headquarters, currently under construction. ALDAR's new HQ will be the first round building in the Middle East, built to satisfy the most demanding international business elite. The futuristic aluminium and glass exterior, underground parking, turnstile security, marble floors and walls will ensure this is a commercial building fit for 21st century Arabia. It will be a Category A International office.

Careful planning and attention to details is what will make Al Raha Beach prominent in the midst of other development projects in the UAE. Accessibility has been a very important factor in the scheme. Its infrastructure has been designed to allow the free flow of vehicle and foot traffic throughout the city, and a light rail system along with 'jet cats' and water taxis are planned for the project. The water taxi service is intended to serve all parts of Abu Dhabi Island as well as outlying islands and the international airport. This will ensure that all residents have easy access to their properties, and that commuting into Abu Dhabi and Dubai will be easy and accessible.

The Al Raha precincts are:

  • Al Bandar
  • Al Dana
  • Al Nakhel
  • Al Razeen
  • Al Rumaila
  • Al Seef
  • Al Zeina
  • Khor Al Raha
